The constitution of United States of America and the State of Indiana are two different constitutions. In United States of America there is one Federal constitution that encompasses the general backbone of the legislative, judicial and federal system of the nation. Then there are the various states, which as done in any proper democratic and Federal State, have their own respective constitutions running. This would mean that State of Indiana being a part of the sovereign nation would abide by the general constitution along with running a constitution of it's own for the stability and prosperity of it's own populous.

The sphere that de marks the end of the U.S. constitution and the beginning of the Indiana constitution is when the general principles and articles that apply to the whole country end and a more microscopic view to the general principles are developed to suit the temperament of the people. There are many areas where we will find both the constitutions to be more or less the same for example the right of freedom of speech has been a given a high sanctuary. Both the constitutions respect and protect the right of its civilians by making sure that they get authentic news, are able to criticize and judge and voice their opinion regarding the present government. Or any other aspects of social and private life that can in some way or the other affect everyone. This is clearly written in the 9th section of Indiana Article.
